Bio

Cristian has been part of the Fullerton Rangers coaching staff for over 13 years. He is a key component in the success of the Rangers FC, qualifying his teams for the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championship, and US Youth Soccer National League. His players are regularly a part of the ODP, with some having been selected for the US Soccer Youth National Teams.

Coach Cristian is in his 3rd year as Head Coach for the Cypress College Men's Soccer Program as well as an adjunct Professor at Cypress College.

Cristian has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in US Education. He played soccer at Fullerton College, BIOLA University, and Semi-Pro (PDL) Seahorses.

Bio

Matt Swindle joined the Rangers for the 2021-22 season and currently coaches the B2012 White Pre-ECNL/RL team.  He also serves as the Jr Rangers Director. Coach Swindle has a long history of soccer leadership in Southern California having recently been the Chapter Director for the Pateadores South County for the past 6 years.  Prior to the Pateadores, he was the Director of Coaching for United Futbol Club in San Juan Capistrano serving as their DOC for 16 years.  Coach Swindle graduated from Brea Olinda High School where he won a CIF championship as a player in 1986 and later served as their head coach for 12 years winning another CIF championship for the Wildcats in 2001 also earning CIF Coach of the Year.  He went on to play collegiate soccer at CSUDH.  Over the years, his teams and clubs have won numerous National State Cup Championships, Surf Cup, Dallas Cup and other prestigious competitions.  He has coached dozens of collegiate players and numerous professional and national team players over the years.

Coach Swindle is also a high school teacher, residing in Brea and has 3 children who are all active in sports.  His son Jackson is goalkeeper for Vanguard University and his daughters Eliana and Olivia are active in dance, golf and swimming.  Coach Swindle earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from USC in 2005 and holds a USSF C National License.  He proudly served as a founding member of the Technical Committee for 4 years of the inaugural SCDSL which is now known as the SoCal Soccer League.  Additionally, as a DOC at United FC he served on Cal South’s Advisory Committee in the creation of the California Regional League.  He believes players must first learn and master the technical skill sets required to be well-rounded soccer players.  Players must learn to be mentally tough enough to be creative under pressure and to solve the unique challenges of the sport.  Teamwork, discipline, awareness, respect, commitment and accountability are all attributes of a well-rounded athlete.
