In 1966, a youth team was added consisting of 8 to 14 year olds that played in the National Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) of Orange County. Our first youth team became the League Champions. A second youth team was added in 1967: Peewees (8 to 11 years old) and Intermediates (12 to 14 year olds). On January 20, 1968 the Club was incorporated in the state of California as a non-profit organization. In 1970, the youth teams started playing in the Pacific Soccer League Youth Group. The Club continued operating with two youth teams until 1972. In the period from 1972 to 1974, a slow growth began such that in 1974, seven youth teams and two adult teams were playing soccer.

In 1975, the 10th season with youth teams, the Rangers FC Youth Soccer Club (RFCSC) was formed as a division of the Rangers FC Soccer Club. The Youth Club was managed by 12 Board of Directors which were elected at the year-end parents' meeting (Annual General Meeting). In this season, the club was comprised of 20 teams; nine in a newly created league within the city of Fullerton called the Fullerton Soccer League (FSL); and the remainder of the youth teams competed in the newly formed Coast Soccer League (CSL). The CSL had 60 teams from 15 cities and FRYSC was the largest club in the CSL.

For the succeeding two years there was an explosion for the sport of soccer, both in the country and in the Club. In 1978, the Club joined the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA). CYSA is the California branch of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) which is the governing body of all soccer in the United States. RFCSC had 120 teams and 1700 players. In 1982, the Fullerton Rangers introduced our first girl's CSL team (U16). The RFCSC hosted the first Friendship Tournament on Labor Day weekend in 1983. The men's team is no longer in existence.

Since 2004, The Rangers FC Youth Soccer Club through its Board of Directors, Director of Coaching and professional Coaching Staff has seen the growth of our Competitive program into one of the top 20 programs in the nation. Not only have we garnered back to back National Championships (2011-2012), but also have won important tournaments such as Regional Championships, Surf Cup and the most prestigious international youth tournament Dallas Cup in 2011 and 2012. The foundation of this success has been the quality of our professional coaching staff which includes the 2012 Nike Coach of the Year as well as Head Coaches from Division I Universities who bring their knowledge to our program. The Rangers are poised to continue this winning tradition for many more years to come.

In 2022-2023, there were approximately 3000+ players registered on Recreational, Signature, and Competitive teams. There were 82 teams in Divisions U-5 through U-12, 5 teams playing inter-city, 18 teams playing in the Signature League, and 34 teams in age groups U-9 through U-19 playing in the ECNL/RL, DPL and SoCal Soccer Circuits.
